"You are what you eat" is a phrase that many Singaporeans are familiar with growing up. While that might be a fact for many, the converse is true too. You aren't what you don't eat.
Unfortunately, due to the lack of proper food knowledge and information from true accredited professionals in the industry, many are susceptible to diets that are backed by influencers, rather than science, which makes them none other then Fad Diets.
The more popular Keto Diet, South Beach Diet, Atkins Diet, Grapefruit Diet, Vegan Diet are just some of the many Fad Diets to mention. So, the question begs, what exactly contribute to a healthy diet?
Now, that voice down to understanding two group of nutrients. The First is Macro Nutrients and the Second is Micro Nutrients. Macro Nutrients (Carbs. Protein. Fats. Water) as the name suggests are the major nutrients responsible for the body overall physical appearance and performance. While Micro Nutrients (Vitamin ADEK. Iron. Calcium) just to name a few, are although required in much smaller amount but argumentably as important, if not even more important than Macro Nutrients.
That being said, it is therefore a sensible reasoning as to why Singapore's Health Promotion Board and our Health Minister, Mr Ong Ye Kung have been for the longest time advocating about no miracle diet but a diet that is made out of moderation.
Yet, moderation itself is an understatement. As moderation without quality is merely nothing but a Floyd mentality if individuals even practice moderation to begin with.
However, at Phantral, we understand that the hectic and inconvenience of working in the corporate world in Singapore puts many off the track of eating right and eating healthily. Hence, that's the reason we have created and produce food and snacks that would address individuals' Macro and Micro nutrients concurrently.
Most importantly, Corporations management should also practice organizing nutrition talks and education programme with credible professionals such as Phantral's Chief Trainer, Qiu Ying, which is recognized by Health Promotion Board to enhance their company staff knowledge on making the right and quality choice when it comes to food and provide necessary support and encouragements within their capacity when possible.
Remember, Health is a long term investment that every corporations and individuals have to enter into regardless of their willingness and as all other investment, there is no short cut only due diligence and prudency.
